April 30, 2005
CEO Roundtable's Loren Carlson joined in a panel of other top professions in leading a key workshop at TieCON East on April 30.
The topic of their workshop was "Innovation is a Process"
Panel Summary: Innovation is new ideas that result in useful and
commercially successful services and products. It can be incremental or
revolutionary and goes beyond invention. We need to shift the paradigm to
one where innovation is more systematic rather than simply random insight.
Innovation is a process that can be managed in a way that integrates the
creator's novelty and the executive's pragmatism.
The member of the panel were:
Moderator: Al Kapoor, President, Millennium Ventures Group
Speakers: Loren Carlson, Chairman, CEO Roundtable LLC
William S. Karol, President and CEO, KODA Enterprises
Scott McCabe, Managing Partner, Echelon Ventures
David McCue, Chairman, McCue Corporation ( in the UK)
Peter Mueller, Associate Director, Univ of Mass Medical School
